Action: getting rid of the Himalayan Balsam

24. July 2021 @ 9:00 - 12:00

The Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) comes from the Himalayas and was planted in Europe by beekeepers and hobby gardeners at the end of the 19th century because of its beautiful flowers. The plant is extremely competitive, which means that it replaces native species – and it is spreading rapidly along our waters!

If you want to help stop the spreading of the Himalayan Balsam, then register for one of our actions!

Registrations at info@naturpark-mellerdall.lu or +352 26 87 82 91.

We will tell you the exact meeting place when you register.

The participation is free.

Because of the corona pandemic, we kindly ask you to bring your own gloves and mask!

If you want more information about the Himalayan Balsam, you can read this flyer in German or in French.
