Geosite-Hopping competition

Discover geologically interesting places in the region through our Geosite-Hopping campaign.  In each of the 11 member municipalities, a bus shelter has been decorated with a drawing of a geosite of that municipality. These were made by the artist Alan Johnston and are now intended to encourage people to take a look at the various sites in reality. Find all the locations of the bus shelters and the geosites here. The Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) comes from the Himalayas and was planted in Europe by beekeepers and hobby gardeners at the end of the 19th century because of its beautiful flowers. The plant is extremely competitive, which means that it replaces native species – and it is spreading rapidly along our waters!
