“Les Algues vertes” is a Franco-Belgian dramatic thriller directed by Pierre Jolivet and released in 2023. It is adapted from the comic strip “Algues vertes, l’histoire interdite”, by Inès Léraud and Pierre Van Hove, published in 2019.

After several suspicious deaths, journalist Inès Léraud decided in 2015 to move to Brittany to investigate the phenomenon of green tides in greater depth. She met many people, and realised the extent of the silence surrounding this environmental issue. Indeed, the interests of the agri-food industry are very strong in this region. She relies on the people involved in this fight at local level to get it recognised at national level through her radio reports.
